Before you buy

Will it work with my phone?

Most phones made since 2019 support eSIM. Phones sold in mainland China usually do not. Run the 30 second check first.

Do plans cover more than one country?

Regional plans cover groups of countries. Europe, Asia and Global let you cross borders on one eSIM. Single country plans cost less if you are going to one place.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, before you install it. Once you scan the QR code, the eSIM is tied to your device and we cannot refund it. If it is not working after install, email us first.

Installing

How do I install it?

We email you a QR code after you buy. Open Settings → Cellular on iPhone, or Settings → SIM manager on Android. Tap Add eSIM and scan. Two minutes.

When does it activate?

Most plans start when your phone first connects at your destination. A few start on install. Your plan page says which before you buy.

I lost the QR code email.

Check spam first. The email comes from [email protected]. Still missing? Log in and the code is on your order page, or write to us and we will resend it.

While travelling

Can I keep my home number?

Yes. Your home SIM stays active. The travel eSIM runs as a second line for data. Your home number keeps handling calls, texts and WhatsApp.

Calls and texts on the eSIM?

Travelren plans are data only. No voice or SMS on the eSIM line. Use WhatsApp, FaceTime or iMessage over the data connection.

What if I run out of data?

Your plan pauses. Top up the same eSIM from your account. No need to install a new one.
