eSIM Compatibility Checker

Check if your phone supports eSIM in seconds

Visit this page on your phone

Or use the "Find My Phone" tab to search your model manually.

Check manually in 30 seconds

This works on any iPhone or Android. You'll see your EID number if eSIM is supported.

1

Open your Phone app

Go to your dialler — the same app you use to make calls.

2

Dial *#06#

Type this code exactly and press call (or it may show automatically).

3

Look for an EID number

If you see an EID (32-digit number) your phone supports eSIM. No EID = not supported.

4

Check it's carrier unlocked

Your phone must be unlocked to use a travel eSIM. Contact your carrier if unsure.

⚠️ Your phone must be carrier-unlocked to use eSIM. Contact your carrier if you're unsure.

Compatible phones

These models are confirmed eSIM compatible. Most phones released from 2019 onwards are supported.

What if my device is network or carrier-locked?

If you purchased your device through a mobile carrier (e.g. Telstra, Optus, Vodafone), it may be network-locked — meaning it can only connect to that carrier's network. You cannot install an eSIM on a locked device.

1
Contact your carrier — Call or visit your carrier and request a network unlock. Most carriers will unlock your device for free once your contract has ended.
2
Wait for confirmation — Unlocking typically takes 1–5 business days. You'll receive an email or SMS when it's done.
3
Recently unlocked? — Some carriers temporarily disable eSIM support as a security measure after unlocking. If this happens, contact your carrier again and ask them to re-enable eSIM support on your account.

Still not sure? Contact our support team — we're happy to help you figure it out before you buy.
